Dear American Lab Rescue Adopters, Fosters, Volunteers and Applicants
As the holiday season approaches we wanted to remind you of some of the many opportunities available to help support American Lab Rescue mission to provide a new life for rescued or displaced Labrador Retrievers and Labrador Mixes. Please review the list below, as many are really simple, cost no money, and only require the click of a mouse!
Please share this list of ways to help our labs with all of your family, friends and co-workers.
- American Lab Rescue Calendars are here! We are selling calendars for the New Year! The total cost of the calendar is $19.95. The price includes all applicable taxes, shipping and handling. Want to order multiple calendars, please email the quantity to labrescue@snet.net for special pricing and shipping. Include your contact info
- You can purchase your calendar through either PayPal (send payment to americanlabrescue@yahoo.com). You can also order your calendar by mail with bank check or money order. Please send to P.O. Box 215 Willington CT 0627. Also please make sure to indicate where you would like your calendar to be mailed.
- 100% of the proceeds collected will go to save the life of more homeless dogs.
- Order dog or cat food and treats from Flint River Ranch before December 21st and Flint River Ranch will donate 10% to American Lab Rescue.
- Donate your old crate that your Lab has outgrown or no longer needs to American Lab Rescue. Please contact us (americanlabrescue@yahoo.com) to arrange a drop off location.
- Donate heart worm and flea/tick preventative that your Lab has outgrown. You can mail your donation to American Lab Rescue P.O. Box 215 Willington CT 06279.
- Use iGive for your holiday shopping. In this season of giving, an ideal way to complete your Holiday shopping and help American Lab Rescue is to visit www.iGive.com. iGive has over 600 participating stores including, J. Crew, Barnes & Noble, Gap, Lands End and Niketown, who donate a percentage (up to 26% from some stores) of your order to your selected cause with NO cost to you!!!
- Just for signing up and listing American Lab Rescue as your cause, we receive $1 - it doesn't sound like much but every little helps. By placing an order within 45 days of joining, we receive an extra $5 plus a % donation from the vendor. Monies raised are enough to board a needy Lab for one night! If you are interested in joining and helping American Lab Rescue, please click hereiGive to receive a personal invitation. By joining through the link in the personal invitation, American Lab Rescue will receive $5 instead of $1 when you start shopping.
- This past year, American Lab Rescue has received about $1000.00 through our adopters shopping with iGive!!!
- Use GoodSearch to search the Internet. Specify American Lab Rescue as your charity. You can make Good Search your toolbar! For every search you do, GoodSearch donates 1 cent. If all of our adopters foster and volunteers did only one search a day, we would get $60 each day to help needy labs.
- Save money and donate funds by shopping at 1800PetMeds Every-time you shop you will get $5.00 off your order. Make sure you put in the "special code" ALR so a percentage of your shopping goes to support American Lab Rescue.
- Walk your Lab and tell people you got him/her from American Lab Rescue.
- Foster a Lab. Please complete our Foster Application Form so we can match up a dog with you. Fostering a lab will involve your providing food and water, bowls, leash, any additional bedding, love, exercise and a warm safe place to stay.
- Adopt a lab! Your current lab might love to have a sibling!!
- Sponsorship Unable to foster a dog but still want to help? We are always in desperate need of funds to help pay for expenses for dogs still being held in boarding facilities. You can help by donating any amount. 100% of the monies collected will go directly towards helping these wonderful dogs. Monies go towards, boarding, vetting, heart worm treatment, etc. Should you wish to sponsor a specific dog please note that on your Donation. All donations are tax deductible. If the donation is being made in another person’s name, please include that person(s) name and address. We will send them a note acknowledging the gift.
- Order dog cookies from Jake and Knight's Doggie Delights between November 24 and December 21. By entering American Lab Rescue in the “special instructions” box on the PayPal order form, Jake and Knight'sDoggie Delights will donate 10% to American Lab Rescue with a minimum purchase of $10.
- Looking for something to get that special person in your life? Searching for the extra sparkle? Shop at www.bonprise.etsy.com between now and Christmas and a percentage of your sale will go to American Lab Rescue to save a life of a dog.
